UF Health Fitness

Faculty can participate in a low-cost on-site fitness program ($10/month) through the UF Health Fitness & Wellness Center located on the south medical campus.

UF Recreational & Sport Facilities

UF students who pay the Activity & Services fee have access all UF RecSports services and resources (fitness assessment, gyms, group fitness classes, boot camp, recreational facilities). Other students may purchase membership at a reduced rate.

House staff: UF Recreational & Sport Facilities “GatorCare” Memberships

Residents & Fellows with GatorCare insurance are eligible for free or reduced-fee UF RecSports Memberships. This provides access all available services and resources (fitness assessment, gyms, group fitness classes, boot camp, recreational facilities).

Choose one of the following options:
Option A: Unlimited access during operating hours to all facilities, programs, and services for a member cost of $100/year.
Option B: Limited access (evenings & weekends) to SRFC and SWRC at no cost. Call 352-273-2436 for more information

UF Recreational & Sport Facilities Memberships (Non-House Staff)


UF RecSports Memberships can be purchased to access all available services and resources (fitness assessment, gyms, group fitness classes, boot camp, recreational facilities).
 
Some UF Facilities are available to all Gator1 ID card holders to use when the UF Teams are not using them for practice (e.g., pools, tennis courts).

Intramural sports league through UF offering individual and team sign-ups for a number of sports.

UF Sport Clubs


Sport Clubs are for those who have a passion for a particular sport or who want to learn a new sport. They are open to any skill level and offer the opportunity to compete with other colleges throughout the state, region and nation.

UF RecSports Team Building & Challenge Courses


Ropes course and tower challenges ranging from 1-8 hours to assist with team-building and confidence. Facilitators provide harnesses, helmets, belay devices, and belay instruction to the group members before climbing.

Walk With a Doc


Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. While you walk at your own pace, you’ll have the opportunity to have questions answered by local physicians.

G3 – Gainesville Triathlon

G3 is the only public USAT club in Gainesville, Florida. Our mission is to promote the sport of triathlon in Gainesville by learning, training, and racing together in a positive social environment.

Exercise is Medicine Program

Schedule a free appointment for: Fitness Assessment, Tour around the Southwest Recreation Center, Weight Room Equipment Orientation, Cardio Room Equipment Orientation, Consultation to RecSports programs and offerings. All appointments are with a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer!
